- Abdel Ghanem

President and founder of Chef's Door, Abdel graduated from Suez Canal University and since then has never stopped following his dreams. He started his journey by traveling around the world in 1988, then opening his first Mediterranean restaurant; his specialty in animal production helped him to develop his business and gives him the ability to choose the highest quality of meat to be used in his restaurants.

He then moved to Europe working in high-end hotels and studied for three years in food culinary arts and management. Coming to Canada was a big challenge but his experience and knowledge helped him to be a member of the finest French cuisine establishment and lead him to be the leader of one of well known catering companies.

In 2002 with his Italian partners they opened a well-recognized Italian restaurant in Toronto, which won the CTV award for best Italian restaurant. Now back to his roots he opened the Chef's Door which received a FOUR STARS rating within six months.
